Mega Structure Gate

Our clients, Tillacoutry Quarries, the fastest growing quarry group in Scotland, come back to us, time and time again. They NEVER compromise on security, and know we can deliver when it’s time to go big. VERY BIG. This massive 11 m structure, with 8 m clearance for their very large plant vehicles, operates on a time clock, opening at the desired hours, with an overriding key switch, allowing the the times to be interrupted at holiday intervals. The Gsm intercom allows 24/7 access for off peak entry. The in house vehicles have remote control devices, and the gate has double safety, with dual height photo cells and safety inductive loops either side of the gate. Fabricated at our workshop in Paisley, this is just 3 m short of our maximum gate length. Powered by Faac 844 motor technology, this fine example of industrial gate security is another job we have delivered on time, and our clients are delighted with the results.

The five bar farm type gate is a popular choice for a rural setting, and the estate style gate for main entrance to the house, this full 3 minute video encapsulates the full, stunning location and property of the installation. This is a client of ours that builds extraordinary homes, but he kept this beauty for himself!!! Well, why not, we agree with him 100%.

Beautiful Town House

In the highly desirable Clarkston rd area of Glasgow, our clients home is at the end of a private cul-de-sac, the driveway was the unofficial turning point. They needed a solution that blended with the urban chic location. A steel framed cantilever gate, infill of treated timber, with a nice bevel. Installed to give the security our clients like, but more importantly, the privacy. The contemporary design, by the Lady of the house, is stunning, simple and efficient. Faac motor 741 is powering the gate effortlessly, and elegantly. With annual maintenance, this system will last 15-20 before any replacement required. Another very happy customer.

Hidden gate to property

This gate was designed and installed working with the client, who wanted a hidden gate to his property, concealing his vehicle from view. Using the existing distressed timber fencing, to keep the look of the fence line. It’s not until the gate controller is activated, you see the gate is actually there. The gate motor and the control equipment is on the secure side, as normal, but the gate slides along outside the perimeter fence, without going beyond the clients land boundary.

Fully galvanised and powder coated for lasting protection

This beautiful home, built by one of our regular clients is nestled close to the Glenochil hills. The terrain can be unforgiving at times with wind and rain coming down from the high peaks. The protective finish of the fine metalwork will stand up to anything the Scottish weather can throw at it. It's one of the reasons the bespoke house house builder Marshall Construction come back to Autogates Scotland time after time. The installation was completed ahead of time for the clients to move into this stunning, but isolated property, which is now a secure and bustling home.

Aluminium timber

A steel framed cantilever gate, with matching panel for post box and GSM intercom call station, set on a sloping driveway. There is no other solution for gate security than the sliding system when the undulating driveway is so severe. The cantilever glides over the sloping driveway with ease in all weathers. The beautiful aluminium timber effect will give years of maintenance free security. No painting, staining or treatment. A quick wash with water, and the surface is as good as new. Manufactured at our premises in Paisley.

Kinross Shire

This gate was manufactured for a prestigious client in the Kinross Shire area. The major construction of a fantastic mansion house was still in progress when this security gate was installed. With expensive finishing products being incorporated to the property, it was vital the main entrance was completed, to allow undisturbed and continuous work to be carried out.

Superb example of our craftsmanship. This client thought that he would not be able to get automation equipment at his property. As you can see the cantilever gate system was installed and works perfectly. When the gate is open it sits over the water.

Domestic Install

Beautiful domestic steel framed IROKO timber gate.

Our clients asked us for a solution to headlights shining through the gate at night, while keeping the design elegant. We sourced these “Venetian blind” panels, that reflect the light up, and away from the house, but does not allow strong winds to effect the smooth running of system. This view from the secure side, shows how a cantilever system ‘floats’ in each direction, needing only minimal contact with the ground. There is no other gate system that gives this flexibility. We believe Auto-Gates Scotland were the first company in the north to actually manufacture this type of gate. Our designs and installations have now been replicated all over the country.

The flat top rail design give the look of a strong, sturdy, solid gate. Keeping the driveway clear of inward swing gates, the cantilever slides behind the existing fence line with ease. The house name is discretely incorporated into the gate, balanced with a rear retrieval post box in the other ‘half’ of the gate. House names, numbers, family crests, just about anything can be made to fit into the gate structure, working with our clients ideas, we create the perfect solution to needs of each individual installation.

Another huge gate, installed in Grangemouth, a simple steel frame, manufactured to fit the galvanised mesh panels that are attached once the gate is mounted on the concrete plinth. Onsite time is reduced to 4/5 days, as the gate is fabricated using ‘site templates’ that allow the massive structure to be lowered onto the plinth and secured immediately, allowing the traffic using the entrance to flow almost unrestricted.

The palisade infill gives maximum security, the gate runs across a surface with a 300 mm incline, the cantilever system makes it possible. Our client has come to Auto-Gates Scotland for several of these huge gates, all successfully installed at Tillicoultry Quarries in central Scotland.

The “Rustic” look of ‘off saw timber’ is a simple and economical design many of our clients choose. It matches any simple fencing that has the ranch style vertical or horizontal boards. Installed in two days, as all the construction is carried out in house, which can be seen in the previous ‘steel frame in progress’ video.

Conservation area? No problem!! The two original timber swing gates were not fit for automation. The solution was to fabricate a pair of “five bar” gates from steel, get them galvanised and powder coated to match the flashings on this stunning rural villa on the outskirts of a conservation village in Kinross. The cantilever system solves the problem of the incline on the secure side of the gate. The sliding motion gives much needed space for parking and turning vehicles in the beautiful driveway.

A fine example of “Timber” infilled gates. This is a steel framed cantilever gate, with composite decking, to give a wood effect. The gate is fabricated, then the composite decking is fitted. The infill is then removed in large sections, to allow galvanising and powder coating. The gate frame is then installed onto the concrete plinth, and the decking re-fitted to pre-drilled fixing points, cutting down the ‘onsite’ time.

The design matches the existing trim of the this fabulous new build in stunning Perthshire. Our clients came to Auto-Gates Scotland to get the expertise required to complete the installation on time, and in the knowledge they would have a superior gate system, fit for the purpose.

In a beautiful location on the side of Loch Fyne, this distinguished client designed these gates, to match the luxurious property they lovingly restored from an old barn. The last piece of the jigsaw was this elegant cantilever gate. Sleek and smooth, it compliments the stunning views over the loch, giving privacy, security and convenience on private road leading to the secluded fabulous home the family have created.
