Industrial Office Complex

Another new installation for our valued clients Tillicoultry Quarries. The huge 13.8m long structure is way to large for any power coating company in Scotland. The solution was to fabricate the gate frame, which can be galvanised at Wedge Group, the biggest galvanising tank in Scotland, and send the decorative panels, complete with the TQ company logo, to a separate powder coating supplier at Highland Colour Coating. The panels were set in the frame with onsite welding, and the gate automated with a Faac 844 hydraulic gate motor. The gate opens Monday to Friday at set times, via the Videx Gsm intercom, allowing our clients to override these times for bank holidays and night time access by a simple txt message to the system. Communication from the gate to a mobile phone saves internal cables in the office building, and the gate is opened by clicking a digit on the handset, from anywhere, worldwide, as long as the device has at least 3G network coverage.

Dual access points

With incredible views of the Wallace monument and Stirling Castle, our prestigious client chose this location to build a stunning home, with plenty of space for a boat shed with a separate entrance. The five bar farm type gate is a popular choice for a rural setting, and the estate style gate for main entrance to the house, this full 3 minute video encapsulates the full, stunning location and property of the installation. This is a client of ours that builds extraordinary homes, but he kept this beauty for himself!!! Well, why not, we agree with him 100%.

Rising Hinges

Our clients, a professional family on the Ayrshire cost, came to us with dilemma. A new stunning premier family home, with panoramic views over the coast, that needed security, without compromising the impressive entrance to the property. The rising ground on the inside of the entrance makes things difficult for a standard installation. The option of a sliding gate was decided against, as this would involve felling some beautiful trees, so a “rising hinge” system was manufactured to suit the steep incline. The bottom hinge of each gate is ‘offset’ towards the inside, and the gate can be made to fill the aperture. So no ugly gaps at the bottom of structure. A letter box, a smart parcel box and GSM intercom complete the job, installed 2 weeks less than the initial time quoted. New happy customers, new friends of Autogates Scotland.

Sundrum estate

Set in an idyllic grounds of Sundrum estate, these contemporary five bar farm style gates were fabricated to keep with the rustic charm of country manor environment. The beautiful green colour matches the surrounding trees, and blends with the existing gate pillars, which were long ago at the entrance used by horse drawn carriages. Our client asked if he could have ‘fast’ gates, to reduce the opening times, to prevent his dogs escaping. This was achieved by adding some extra safety devices, and using special geometric dimensions to reduce the travel of the operating motors. We added some lights, to complete a stunning look that would enhance any country house.

Scottish Highlands

Our clients here are in the capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness. With The Cromarty Firth in the background, and the busy A9, the main artery to the Outer Hebrides in the foreground, these stunning aerial shots show beautiful Scotland at her best. Caledonia Self Storage, a fast rising dynamic company asked us to provide the security for this collection of hi tech security units. The unit owners can come and go as they please, 24 hours a day. There is a proximity reader for both entry and exit, with a digi keypad back up, just in case the small tag used to open the gate has been left behind. CCTV covers the entrance, making this a sure and steady compound for those who need that extra space to store valuable goods. The bright colours reflect bold attitude of this excellent new business, ran and owned by two young local entrepreneurs. We are sure this won’t be the last time Autogates Scotland are called upon by this foreword thinking young couple.

Palisade Cantilever

On the banks of the Firth of Clyde at the River Irvine estuary, an industrial estate storing all kinds of vehicles, old and new, required our assistance. We had automated some gates here almost 35 years ago, but the system needed upgraded, WITHOUT compromising the security even one day. So we manufactured a sliding gate, and fabricated a small add on. This allowed us to keep the existing swing gate in operation during the installation, as the foundation was behind the existing gate post, allowing the gate to open, but still be locked at night. The gate was installed and the add on welded onsite. The power turbine generates the gate, as well as all the power required for the office block, with some leftover to sell back to the National Grid!!

The Complete Package

When our very prestigious clients came back to us for the FOURTH time, they gave us a blank canvas. An open driveway with nothing. So we called our time honoured stonemason, whom we have been using since the early days of Autogates Scotland, way back in the ‘90’s. He came to site, and with our clients consultation, designed an entrance that does this magnificent property justice. Foundations were excavated for the stonework at the same time as the cantilever base for the gate. The ‘setting out’ was marked, and some 4 or 5 tonnes of concrete poured around the subframe for the gate and the walls. The Bradstone was laid in two curves to suit the driveway with just enough gaps to allow for some nice wall top fencing. The traditional Brick-on-end atop the cope stones set the pillars off nicely. With the steelworks fabricated, galvanised and powder coated in under 5 weeks, the entire project was completed, and handed over ahead of schedule to the delight of our client. With built in post box, custom made house name incorporated into the gate, finished with a pedestal mounted Gsm intercom, this installation was less than 9 weeks onsite. Another very happy customer, who has came to us again in the knowledge we can deliver on time

Convex Aluminium Infill

A beautiful lightweight gate frame, with convex aluminium horizontal slats added onsite. A nice example of a simple design, with matching pedestrian gate. With the property nested at the foothills of the Glenochil range of peaks, windy conditions are easily overcome with a cantilever sliding gate system. No Autogates Scotland job is complete without the excellent Videx Gsm entry system. Control the gate, from that well deserved beach holiday in warmer climes!!

Dual entrance, for very special properties

An architect’s dream!!! Design two magnificent homes, next door, but give each beautiful house its own character. This is exactly what we have here. Two stunning properties with a shared private approach road, but each with its own security gate system. Situated just northwest of Glasgow, these two gate systems, although similar, each have their own superb control equipment. Luxury is in abundance, so solid, reliable Faac automated gates protect these amazing spaces.

Shared driveway with two button GSM intercom.

Drone footage of work in progress of cantilever gate, steel framed with timber effect aluminium boards with chrome trim, a favourite with our clients. The beautiful driveway was being used as a turning point, much to the dismay of two property owners. An automated sliding gate gives the privacy they desired, with this stunning entrance gate. The post boxes were mounted on a side panel, and a barcode, once scanned by Amazon deliveries and similar allows electronic release of the lid to deposit those important parcels when your not at home. A dual button intercom allows the owners to be called, to their mobile phones, anywhere in the world, and gate is simply opened during the call. A digital keypad is a back up system to gain access, and a temporary code can be set, via a text message to the Gsm that lasts for 24 hours, giving access for that limited time only. From start to finish, the full installation was complete within 9 weeks.

Ayrshire

A very private estate located in in Ayrshire. We installed this system over 20 years ago!! Still going strong. We used the 24v motor, to give battery back up, as power cuts are frequent. A Videx Gsm gives our clients total control when they are away from home, and the gate is linked to the home CCTV System.
